Greetings Sorors & Friends,
Welcome to the virtual home of the West Memphis Area Alumnae (WMAAC) Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. WMAAC was chartered in 2005 when 24 dedicated women saw a need to provide public service and assistance to people in West Memphis and the surrounding communities in Crittenden County, Arkansas. Since 1913, our Sorority has continued to make progress in the commitment of building upon the rich legacy of sisterhood, service and scholarship founded by 22 college educated women.
This chapter has grown to over 50 plus members who have wholeheartedly designed, developed, and delivered a myriad of award-winning programs that fulfill our sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the Chapter President of WMAAC for the 2017-2019 biennium. We are a chapter driven by purpose and passion. “Committed to public service with a passionate purpose of sisterhood.” We are dedicated to empowering our communities through the continual development and implementation of programs that will make a long-lasting impact and meet the evolving needs of our community.
We invite you to visit our website and/or attend our events frequently to learn about and join in our community service initiatives and fundraisers that will provide assistance to the communities that we are called to serve. Also, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
In sisterhood and service,
Constance Taylor Brown, President
